Live to Give: Wee Volunteer – Giving from the Beginning

When Brooke Tinch and her friends had their first volunteer-themed play date, it became clear that they wanted to instill a passion for service in their children. Brooke soon discovered the women at Wee Volunteer, and she has been a force for good through the organization ever since.

Offering age-appropriate and child-friendly service projects, Wee Volunteer ensures that children of all ages can understand the importance of giving back. A variety of projects and schedules offer something for every family – from Wipe Out Graffiti events to playing with dogs at the SPCA of Texas.

“It really teaches your kids perspective,” Brooke says. “It’s great for them to realize at a young age that there are other children and families out there who are not as blessed.”

Whether delivering meals to needy families or just spending time with those less fortunate, Wee Volunteers do their part to ensure that the next generation knows the importance of blessing others.

This month, we are pleased to shine the light on many of the servant leaders making our community better and stronger. And we do this not just also to thank them, but to inspire others to roll up their sleeves and help in some way. To learn more about #LiveToGiveThisHoliday, click here.
