Ready to discover some great gooks? Ready for prizes? Then, we’ll see you at the Southlake Summer Kickoff from 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. June 4 in Southlake Town Square to launch the Southlake Summer Reading program.

Discover the many events, activities and performances scheduled this summer for On Your Mark, Get Set, Read. Official registration for the summer reading program opens June 4.

How It Works

Preschool Ages: The preschool program is not online. Sign up in the Library and pick up a Pre-reading Activity Log to complete together. Prizes for every 5 activities completed.

Family Accounts: Parents register first in Southlake Summer Reading Adults then add family members using the Add Family Member link.

Ages 5-12: Register for Southlake Summer Reading Kids online or in the library. You can enter time online or we will do it for you in the Library. Share your thoughts on a book to enter weekly prize drawings. Win prizes for every 5 hours you read up to 25 hours. Get a drawing slip for large prizes for every 5 hours – no limit.

Teens: Register for Southlake Summer Reading Teens online or in the Library. Log your minutes online and share your thoughts on a book to enter weekly prize drawings. Get a drawing slip for large prizes for each 5 hours you read – no limit.

Adults: Enjoy three ways to win. Register online at Southlake Summer Reading Adults. Share your thoughts on a book in Summer Reader and be entered for a chance to win a weekly gift card. Check out from the Southlake Library to be automatically entered in a drawing for a grand prize gift card. Or Spin the Wheel and win a prize. The prize wheel will appear at unannounced times in the Library – for a surprise treat.
