It is still possible to find a good site in North Texas to build your dream home, but quality lots in prime neighborhoods are getting scarce.
According to Residential Strategies’ principal Ted Wilson, the number of the highest quality lots in the Metroplex has dropped to less than half of what is thought to be a balance between buyers and sellers of lots. Currently Wilson estimates there are 6,000 prime lots available in the entire Metroplex.
Here are a few top custom-building opportunities available through Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty.
5114 W. Amherst | Briarwood | Listed for $745,000
On one of the most desirable blocks in Briarwood is a lot where Alexander Hunt Distinct Homes proposes to build a new custom home. The home would have extensive amenities from hand-scraped hardwood flooring to natural stone countertops, and would be Energy Star Certified.
5214 Royal Lane | Preston Hollow | Listed for $1,895,000
On this prestigious street near Inwood Road is a 1.785-acre building site with a stream running through the lot. It presents the chance to build your dream home in a private park-like setting.
