Summer Reading Takes Flight at University Park Library

It’s time for kids of all ages to get their summer reading on! And, there is no better way than with University Park Public Library’s UP with Reading! Take a Magic Carpet Ride Summer Reading Program, which soars through July 26.

Take a Magic Carpet Ride promises not only to be an exciting journey into the world of reading, but also entertaining and fun for all participants. The program takes place at the University Park Library on Saturdays at 2:00 pm and includes magic acts, juggling, children’s musicians and more. While the program promises to engage kids with reading, it will also reward those participants who fly through pages.

At the conclusion of the program, the Readers’ Cup trophy will be awarded to the HPISD school with the most collective hours read. The program is sponsored by Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty.  For more information, go to
