From his days coaching seven-foot-tall athletes on how to win a championship to his investment in turning South Dallas neighborhoods into successful communities, Donnie Nelson knows the key to success in any venture is the right people.
“As it says in the book The Art of War, every war is won before it’s ever fought. You win the war by starting with good people who share that all-American work ethic. The ones who will be with you in the trenches—those are the people you want on your team,” says the General Manager and President of Basketball Operations for the Dallas Mavericks.
Nelson shared his insights on teamwork – and a few great stories about Dirk and Cuban – with the team at Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty as the starting whistle sounds on 2016.
“We’ve always made it our mission to work with individuals who have integrity and a desire to succeed,” Nelson said. “When those individuals work as a team, they’re going to succeed. They’re going to close the deal.”
President and CEO Robbie Briggs independently owns and operates Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty with offices in Dallas, Fort Worth, Uptown, Lakewood, Ranch and Land, The Ballpark and Southlake.
