To be quite honest – and to co-opt a phrase – this home had us at hello. It makes a stunning first impression, and because it’s new construction, every detail fits the modern aesthetic to a T.
Case in point: This sleek, simple door greets you at the front. Remember the horizontal rectangle shape on the windowpanes. You’ll find that design element repeated throughout the home.
Note the incredible natural light streaming in from floor-to-ceiling windows opposite the main entry. We’ll talk about those later.
We’re big fans of the floating staircase. It creates a sense of movement and makes this space feel more beautiful and less utilitarian. (And, yes, that is wine storage tucked behind the brick partition. Luxury details + economy of space. Love it.)
In the living room, opposites create an attractive setup: The fireplace is surrounded by a warm wall treatment of wooden planks – which softens the polished concrete flooring. The sunlight streaming through the windows (note the shape of the panes) makes the floor radiate coziness.
Good design is in the details, and the blue light emanating from the kitchen ceiling provides a bit of an other-worldly feeling.
