Get Connected to a New Walsh Ranch

We’re going to have to adjust the old saying that “everything’s bigger in Texas” to include faster…

Developers with Republic Property Group just announced that Walsh (previously known as Walsh Ranch) will be the  first community in the country to feature two gigabit internet speeds in every home and school as the minimum connectivity standard. Residents of the 7,200-acre neighborhood under development in west Fort Worth will enjoy two gigabit service – already twice as fast as other fiber internet providers in the area. This world-class infrastructure will support homes and innovative businesses from day one. Ten gigabit service plans will be available to any resident that wishes to upgrade their two gigabit bandwidth.

“Innovative planning and forward thinking like this is what makes Dallas-Fort Worth so unique and creates growth that is not only powerful, but sustainable for future generations,” says Robbie Briggs, President and CEO of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, the area’s leading luxury real estate brokerage. “We’re excited about this emphasis on connectivity, and pride ourselves on connecting North Texas to the world and the world to North Texas.”

While Google Fiber is no longer coming to Dallas-Fort Worth, homes at Walsh will be connected to an extensive fiber network that is even faster. In building the community from the ground up, developers at Walsh focused on technology as a utility, elevating the importance of fiber to that of a neighborhood’s need for reliable water, gas and electricity services. They’ve also declared their dedication to using technology to the fullest in order to create the most convenient living environment possible. So, as smart home technology continues to develop, fast internet speeds will be just the tip of the iceberg.
